By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The 100-mile ‘Rumble in the Tropics’ cycling race set for Sunday, March 23, 2025, promises to be an electrifying event, drawing elite, masters, and junior cyclists.
The race will take off at 8:00 am from the Esso XaiBel Service Station on the Hummingbird Highway (Stann Creek Valley Road). Riders will navigate a scenic yet challenging route ascending to 2,773 feet above sea level, culminating in Belize City with three laps on Central American Boulevard. With over $15,000 in cash prizes up for grabs, the stakes are high, and the competition is expected to be fierce.
The Rumble in the Tropics will be a demanding race that will test the endurance and determination of Belize’s top cyclists.
