By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Derrick Chavarria of G-Flow Cycling Team delivered one of the standout performances of the 2025 National Individual Time Trial Championship, claiming victory in the Men’s U23 division with a time of 45:50 over the 20-mile Burrell Boom Road course.
More than just a category win, Chavarria’s ride placed him third overall among all competitors, behind only Elite Champion Cory Williams (42:27) and teammate Jyven Gonzalez (45:29). His time was faster than Elite bronze medalist Eric Trapp, solidifying Chavarria’s reputation as one of the best cyclists in Belize—regardless of age class.
Teammate Jaylen Briceño secured second in the U23 division with a solid 48:01, while Delton Rojas of Rolling Shattaz Cycling completed the podium in 49:19.
