By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Cycling Federation of Belize (CFB), in collaboration with the Belize Tourism Board (BTB) and Minister Anthony Mahler, is set to host a Pre New Year’s Day Cycling Classic on Sunday, December 22. The 54-mile Orange Walk to Belize race will start at 9:00 am, inviting cyclists to test their endurance as they prepare for the Annual New Year’s Day Cycling Classic.
Participants will start the race from the Shell Service Station in Orange Walk and head towards Belize City, completing one lap on Central American Boulevard before finishing in front of the Civic Center . This Pre New Year’s Day Cycling Classic offers a chance for cyclists of various categories, including Male Elite, Club, Women, Juniors, Youths, and Women Junior, to compete for impressive prizes which total $5,000.
Registration for the race is open until Thursday, December 19, with a fee of $20. The event promises a thrilling day of competition and camaraderie, drawing both local and visiting cyclists to showcase their skills and stamina.
The sponsors, including Tourism Minister Anthony Mahler, the Belize Tourism Board, and the Cycling Federation of Belize, expect to see the participants push their limits and gear up for the upcoming Annual New Year’s Day Cycling Classic.
