By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Cycling Federation of Belize is rallying the community to support a critical fundraising effort aimed at assisting George Abraham, a dedicated Volunteer Road Race Official. Abraham was recently knocked off his motorcycle while supporting a race and now requires immediate medical attention.
To raise the necessary funds, the Cycling Federation of Belize and Race Officials are organizing a BBQ Sale and Telethon, scheduled for Saturday, December 14, at Constitution Park in Belize City. The team will be on-site early to prepare and collect donations, with BBQ ready for purchase from 11:00 a.m. The event is expected to draw a significant turnout, as the community comes together to support one of their own.
In addition to the BBQ sale, there will be a live-streaming fundraising telethon on the Ordonez Bike Facebook Shop Page. Donations can also be made directly to Victoria Abraham at Atlantic Bank Account 212-004-0126.
The Cycling Federation is appealing to everyone for financial support, emphasizing that every contribution will make a significant difference in helping George Abraham receive the medical care he urgently needs.
