Cycling Federation of Belize introduces Women’s Junior/Youth Cross Country Cycling Classic

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Cycling Federation of Belize (CFB) is calling Women Junior/Youth Category riders to compete in the first ever Women’s Junior/Youth Cross Country Cycling Classic race.

The CFB announced on Sunday that the race will be held on Sunday, March 17 and will span 30 miles from La Democracia Junction on the George Price Highway to Belize City.

Cyclists like Arielle Gordon of the Griga Cycling Club from Dangriga, who was the only Junior competitor in the Women’s Krem’s New Year’s Day Cycling Classic, should compete in this race.

“If you are interested in participating, please contact us for more information on how to get involved,” the CFB said in a social media post.

“This is a great opportunity for young women to showcase their cycling skills and compete in this exciting event. We look forward to seeing you on the race day!”

Riders ranging from 14 to 18 years of age qualify to participate in the Women’s Junior/Youth Cross Country Cycling Classic race.
