Cycling Federation of Belize holds DigiWallet Valentine’s Cycling Tour 2024 starting Friday

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Cycling Federation of Belize (CFB) will be holding the DigiWallet Valentine’s Cycling Tour 2024 this weekend from Friday to Sunday, February 16-18.

The CFB said the first of three stages will be a prologue which starts at 6:00 pm on Friday. The prologue starts at the Digi Compound on Princess Margaret Drive, heads to A Street, turns at the Coney Drive Roundabout, and ends at the Digi Compound on Princess Margaret Drive.

Stage 2 will be a 73-miles road race on Saturday. The race starts at 8:00 am in Belize City. The Elite, Masters, and Under 23 cyclists head to Dangriga via Coastal Road.

The Men’s Junior and Youth riders will cover 53 miles from Rockville to Dangriga via Coastal Road also.

The Women will ride for 44 miles from La Democracia to Dangriga via the same route.

Stage 3 will be a circuit race and will be run on Sunday in Cayo. The race starts at 9:00 am. The race starts at La Loma Luz Boulevard in Santa Elena, goes up Joseph Andrews Drive, turns at Roundabout on George Price Highway, goes back on Joseph Andrews Drive, onto La Loma Luz Boulevard, turns at the Santa Elena sign roundabout, and ends on Loma Luz Boulevard.

The CFB said each stage will be followed by a prize presentation ceremony.
