Cycling Federation of Belize acknowledges Cross Country Cycling Classic sponsors, particularly Belize Tourism Board as Platinum Sponsor

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Cycling Federation of Belize has acknowledged a long list of sponsors, in particular the Belize Tourism Board (BTB) as a Platinum Sponsor of the 94^th Holy Saturday Cross Country Cycling Classic which comes up in two days.

“This event is a cornerstone of the Easter celebrations, deeply embedded in our cultural heritage and community pride,” the BTB said in describing the Holy Grail of Belizean Cycling which started in 1928 as an expedition to San Ignacio.

BTB has contributed $15,000 as a platinum sponsor of Belize’s biggest cycling event.

The other sponsor categories are: Gold – $10,000, Silver – $6,000, and Bronze – $3,000.

The CFB have also paid public acknowledgement to their other partners which include: the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Transport, M&M Engineering, Grace Kennedy (Belize) Ltd, the Belize Police Department, Shirlette Ferguson Ezeobidi, the San Ignacio and Santa Elena Town Council, the Belize Bank, DigiWallet, Crystal, the Belize City Council, the Belize Department of Transport, and Atlantic Bank.

Some have contributed financially while others have done so ‘in kind’ or otherwise.

Additionally there are numerous others who have contributed station prizes to the CFB for the 94th edition of the Cross Country Cycling Classic.

The CFB also acknowledged Deputy Prime Minister Cordel Hyde and the Ministry of Natural Resources, Petroleum, and Mining who will award a Belizean winner a family size plot of land.
