By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Central Secondary Schools Sports Association (CSSSA) Football Championship matches scheduled for Saturday, January 25, were postponed due to the rainy weather that has been affecting Belize City since midweek. The pitch at the Marion Jones Sports Complex is soaked, making it unplayable.
The matches that would have showcased the talents of student-athletes from various schools, including Pallotti High School, Anglican Cathedral College, Gwen Lizarraga High School, and others, will be rescheduled.
The following are the matches that were called off.
Girls Matches:
- Excelsior High vs Maud Williams High
- EP Yorke vs Pallotti High School (PHS)
- Anglican Cathedral College (ACC) vs Saint Catherine Academy (SCA)
Boys Matches:
- Gwen Lizarraga High School (Gwen Liz) vs Belize High School
- EP Yorke High School vs Sadie Vernon Technical High School (Sadie Vernon Tech)
