By Breaking Belize News Staff: A Belize City couple has been denied bail and remanded to prison after being caught with a single .223 assault rifle round in their Belama home.
Edwin Orellana, 31; and Myra Mendez, 25; appeared in court unrepresented on Monday and were each read a single count of kept ammunition without a gun license. Due to the nature of the offense, they were denied bail and remanded to prison.
On December 1, police executed a search warrant at their Belama home where cops found the .223 round inside the living room sofa.
