Corozal men lucky to survive murder attempt by masked gunman

By Aaron Humes: Police are investigating a shooting incident reported this morning in the Baeza Layout area of Corozal Town, Corozal District.

According to the complainant, he was changing a tire on his parked vehicle, assisted by a friend. When they finished, he went to secure his apartment but as he was coming out, he heard a loud bang and looked back to see a man in black jacket, hoodie and ski mask firing at him from a position hidden in the bushes.

The complainant fled toward the street with the gunman in pursuit, but the shooter gave up the chase shortly afterward. No one was injured.
