By Aaron Humes: Police have formally arrested and charged two people from northern Belize for possession of controlled drugs with intent to supply to another.

On Monday, February 9, about 8:00 a.m., a special operations team executed a search warrant at a residence in Corozal Town. Present at the time of the search were 37-year-old Camille Bodden, an unemployed Belizean, and 48-year-old Terrence Lopez, a Belizean tour guide.

A search was conducted on a Nissan Rogue that was parked at the entrance of the residence in the presence of both Camille Bodden and Terrence Lopez. Camille Bodden was in possession of the keys to the vehicle.

The search resulted in the discovery of a total of ten (10) parcels of cocaine, amounting to 11,408 grams or about 25.15 pounds.

Both Camille Bodden and Terrence Lopez were formally arrested and jointly charged for the offense of possession of controlled drugs with intent to supply to another. Both were arraigned in the Corozal Magistrate’s Court, where they pleaded not guilty. Bail was denied, and the case was adjourned to May 12.
