By Aaron Humes: According to police, 34-year-old Charles Itzab was seen suffering from apparent gunshot wounds to his body Wednesday night at the community hospital.
Initial investigation revealed that about 7:15 pm, Itzab was riding his bicycle on an unnamed street when someone approached him and fired several gunshots at him, causing his injuries; thereafter the person made good his escape to the nearby bushes.
Itzab has been transported to the Northern Regional Hospital in Orange Walk where he was admitted in a critical but stable condition.
Police investigations continue.
