By Breaking Belize News Staff: A Copper Bank construction worker is in debt to the court after being caught with crack cocaine in Belize City.
Fifty-four-year-old David Tun was busted on Cork Street on the city’s north side with 1.3 grams of crack cocaine. When arraigned, Tun wasted no time and pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled drug.
As a first-time offender, he was slapped with a $4,000 fine plus $5 cost of court, amounting to $4,005.
Tun has until March 31, 2026 to settle the fine or face one year in prison in default of payment.
