By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Honduras earned their first win of the final round with a 2–0 result over Nicaragua at Estadio Nacional Chelato Uclés in Tegucigalpa, Honduras.

The hosts controlled possession and found goals through Romell Quioto in the 47th minute and Alexy Vega in 90’+1’, while Nicaragua failed to replicate their opening draw against Costa Rica.

In the other Group C fixture, Costa Rica and Haiti played to a 3–3 draw in San José, with both sides showing attacking flair but defensive lapses. Honduras now sit joint-top with four points, level with Costa Rica and Haiti.

🏆 The winner of each group qualifies directly for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

🌍 The two best second-place teams advance to the intercontinental playoffs in March 2026.
