Belize to play Turks and Caicos Islands on Tuesday, October 15

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Concacaf League C triangular tournament continues Saturday with Turks and Caicos Islands taking on Anguilla at the FFB Stadium in Belmopan at 8:00 pm.
With their 1-0 win over Anguilla on Wednesday, the Belize Men’s National Team reached nine points, topping Group B and securing a spot in Concacaf League B, from which they were relegated in 2023. Neither Anguilla, with three points, nor Turks and Caicos Islands can surpass Belize. However, the second-best team among the three League C groups also advances to the Gold Cup Prelims, so expect a good game on Saturday.
Belize will close off the triangular against Turks and Caicos Islands on Tuesday, October 15, at 8:00 pm.

Orlando Velasquez scored Belize’s only goal against Anguilla. The BMNT had several good goal-scoring opportunities but couldn’t capitalize.
Belize seems to have turned over a new leaf under new head coach, Belizean Charlie Slusher. In the September window, the BMNT won their two games in Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands. Belize started with a 4-0 thumping of Turks and Caicos Islands before edging Anguilla 1-0, just like they did on Wednesday.
In Group B, Barbados beat US Virgin Islands 5-0 at the Wildey Turf in Wildey, Barbados, while in Group C St Kitts & Nevis defeated British Virgin Islands 3-1 at Warner Park Football Stadium in Basseterre, Saint Kitts and Nevis.
Group A comprises Barbados (9 points), Bahamas (3), and the US Virgin Islands (0), while Group C consists of St. Kitts & Nevis (9 points), Cayman Islands (3), and the British Virgin Islands (0).
