By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Belize Men’s National Team (BMNT) will play against French Guiana twice in November in the Concacaf Play-In to try to qualify for the Concacaf Gold Cup Preliminary Round, the Prelims.
Belize will play the first match at home at the FFB Stadium in Belmopan on Thursday, November 14, and will then travel to face French Guiana for the return match on Monday, November 18.
Concacaf stated that the detailed match schedule, including kick-off times and venue confirmation, will be shared in the upcoming days. However, Belize’s home game will definitely be played at the FFB Stadium in Belmopan.
Belize qualified for the Concacaf Gold Cup Play-In by winning the Concacaf Nations League C’s Group B undefeated in four games and without conceding a goal.
Belize qualified to the Play-In Round as the Second-Best League C Group Winners, behind Barbados, and as such got to play French Guiana, as the Best League A 6th Place Team.
The Play-In winners will advance to the 2025 Gold Cup Preliminary Round for a shot at the Gold Cup.
Belize has won three of the six matches played against French Guiana, drawn one, and lost two.
