By Aaron Humes: The Belize Police Department has announced that Commissioner of Police, Chester C. Williams was today nominated as interim 2nd Vice President of the Association of Caribbean Commissioners of Police (ACCP).
Being that there were no other nominations for the post the Commissioner was unanimously chosen to serve in this post until May 2024.
The next ACCP Conference will be held in Belize City from 13 to 17 May.
In October, the Government of Belize and the Belize Police Department hosted the 28th Meeting of the Commission of Chiefs of Police for Central America, Mexico, the Caribbean and Colombia.
Commissioner Chester Williams is currently serving as president of that organization for the 2023-2024 term.
