By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): The Belize Meteorological Service is advising the public to brace for another round of moist and unstable weather conditions today, as a lingering cold front continues to influence the country’s weather patterns.
According to this morning’s forecast issued at 6:00 a.m., skies will remain mostly cloudy, accompanied by showers, thunderstorms, and periods of rain, especially across coastal and offshore areas throughout the day.
Tonight into Saturday morning, forecasters expect cloudy to overcast conditions with widespread rain, isolated thunderstorms, and heavier outbreaks across most of the country, with coastal regions facing the most activity.
Winds will blow from the north to northeast at 10–15 knots, producing choppy seas with waves between 3 to 5 feet.
Temperatures today will reach 83°F along the coast, 85°F inland, and 76°F in the hills, with notably cooler nighttime lows anticipated as the cold front maintains its influence.
The Met Service also confirms that the North Atlantic Basin remains quiet as the 2025 hurricane season approaches its end, with no tropical cyclone expected to affect Belize.
