The opening ceremonies included notable attendees included Dr. Osmond Martinez, Minister of State in the Ministry of Economic Transformation, and our guest speaker Hon. Dolores Balderamos-Garcia, Senior Minister of State, Office of the Prime Minister.
The team for this year’s conference is “Advancing Human Rights In Tertiary Education: Gender Equity and Indigenous Inclusion.”
Minister Martinez said that the theme is relevant to Southern Belize.
“We are looking forward to continuing the advocacy and including the development of Toledo in every play form.
Thank you to all our educators, scientists and all stakeholders who are here in our beautiful district,” he said.
Minister Martinez encouraged all participants to enjoy the Chocolate Capital and continue to strengthen tertiary education.
