By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Coast Guard team, manned by Wilberto Daniels, James Alford, and Daniel Gregorio, edged Guava Limb, consisting of Javier Guardado, Daniel Cruz Jr, and Andres Cabb Jr, by a second in a frantic sprint to win the Shaila & Chastelyn Land Consultancy New River Loop Canoe Race on Sunday in Libertad, Corozal.
Black Orchid, comprising Carlos Linares, Brandon Lind, and Cristian Lopez, finished in third place ten seconds later.
The Coast Guard clocked two hours, 37 minutes, and 20 seconds (2:37:20). Guava Limb were timed at 2:37:21, and Black Orchid Resort at 2:37:30.
