Climate Resilient and Sustainable Agriculture Project (CRESAP) conducts 2-day workshop on World Bank projects in Belize

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Climate Resilient and Sustainable Agriculture Project (CRESAP) is conducting a two-day workshop on World Bank projects in Belize.

The workshop is directed at CRESAP members along with representatives of the Ministry of Health and Wellness, Belize Electricity Ltd, Belize Water Services Ltd, CED, and BSIF.

The workshop is led by Joao Quieroz, a World Bank Procurement Specialist, who is sharing his knowledge and experience on various aspects of World Bank projects in Belize.

“The agenda encompasses essential sessions on the World Bank’s overview, projects developed within the country, procurement rules, guidelines, standard procurement documents, Belize Portfolio, contract execution and monitoring, the STEP System, and fostering knowledge exchange among different Project Implementing Units (PIUs) engaged in projects across Belize,” the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security and Enterprise (MAFSE) said in a statement on social media.

The workshop aims to enhance the skills and competencies of the participants, enabling them to contribute effectively to current and future projects.

MAFSE said the workshop also provides an opportunity for learning and collaboration among personnel working on climate-resilient and sustainable agriculture initiatives across Belize. CRESAP is committed to building the capacity of its partners and stakeholders in advancing climate-resilient and sustainable agriculture in Belize.
