By Zoila Palma: The Climate Finance Unit (CFU) convened a strategic meeting with the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI), Development Finance Corporation (DFC), and the Caribbean Community Climate Change Centre (CCCCC) this week to discuss regional and national initiatives and explore opportunities for collaboration.
Participants included Manfred Kopper, Chief Sustainability Officer, CABEI; Mansfield Blackwood, Assistant Executive Director, CCCCC; and Mario Lara, Chief Financial Officer, DFC, alongside the CFU team.
“As key partners in advancing Belize’s access to climate finance, the discussions provided an opportunity to strengthen coordination, identify areas for collaboration, and support the mobilization of resources for Belize’s climate and development priorities,” the unit explained.
The goal is to advance climate-resilient development for Belize.
