By Zoila Palma:  Civil Aviation CEO Narda Garcia has confirmed that new airport security contracts have been signed.

Garcia says that one company will conduct the body search and human security while another will do the surveillance cameras.

The security contracts are being signed 7 months after the terrifying hijacking of a Tropic Air plane.

“They have gone through the process. They tendered, they advertised, and they tendered out. And I think the board has arrived at a decision of contracting a company that has all, has filled all the requirements that are, that were put out there. So I think they will make an announcement very soon,” Garcia told Greater Belize Media.
