City Emergency Management Organization meets with Chief Met Officer to discuss Hurricane season’s outlook

By Zoila Palma: On June 1, 2026, the Belize City Council’s CEMO unit met with Chief Meteorologist Ronald Gordon who delivered an informative presentation on this year’s Hurricane Season Outlook, highlighting key forecasts, anticipated weather patterns, and potential impacts expected throughout the season.

City Administration, alongside members of the CEMO Sub-Committee, also participated in the meeting, reaffirming the Council’s commitment to disaster preparedness, public safety, and the protection of Belize City residents.

“Through continued collaboration, planning, and awareness, the Belize City Council remains dedicated to building a more resilient city and ensuring that employees and residents are informed, prepared, and ready to respond,” the Belize City council said.
