By Zoila Palma: Students and teachers from across the Belize District gathered this week for the 2025 Annual Children’s Rally, held in celebration of the country’s 44th Independence Anniversary.
The event highlighted the energy and creativity of Belize’s youth while fostering national pride among the next generation.
Deputy Mayor Miller, along with councilors from the Belize City Council, joined in the festivities, which featured cultural presentations and patriotic performances.
The Council extended its gratitude to the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Technology for the invitation, as well as to the students and teachers for their enthusiastic participation.
This year’s rally carried the September Celebrations theme, “Belize at 44: Stronger Together, Rising Forever!”—a reminder of the unity and resilience that continue to shape the nation as it moves forward.
