By Breaking Belize News Staff: Charlie Kirk, the outspoken U.S. conservative activist, was shot and killed during an appearance at Utah Valley University on Wednesday. He was 31.
Kirk rose to prominence after co-founding Turning Point USA in 2012, building a massive following through campus debates and social media. His commentary on climate change, gender identity, and family values often sparked heated exchanges, but also cemented him as one of the most influential young voices on the American right.
U.S. President Donald Trump confirmed Kirk’s death, calling him a “Legendary” figure and offering condolences to his wife Erika and their two children.
In Belize, church senator Louis M. Wade Jr. said: “We prayed for you. But you knew the call and you knew the danger. RIP. Yet you spoke Truth in spite of the Hate. The time will come when they will kill you and think that they are doing God a favor” (John 16:2).
Across Belizean social media, reactions were divided, with some praising Kirk as a fearless truth-teller, while others criticized his confrontational style.
