By Aaron Humes: Executive Chairman, Sandals Resorts International, Adam Stewart, hinted that Belize could get a Sandals or Beaches Resort once he gets to spend more time here, joining the 11 countries already hosting one.

But as guest speaker at the opening ceremony of the Third biennial Investment Summit at Sunset Caribe Resort in North San Pedro, he said that Belize already has important gifts that it can use to take luxury tourism to the next level.

Those gifts include unsurpassed natural beauty, a vibrant people willing to learn, and an internationally recognized brand.

But it will take hard work and connections to meet with such big brands as Four Seasons (coming soon to Caye Chapel), Six Senses, and perhaps Sandals or Beaches.
