In men’s singles, Samron Pott fell to Guatemala in straight sets, while Richard Huang was defeated by Honduras, also in straight sets. In the women’s singles bracket, Nazlie Williams battled Honduras but ultimately lost 2-love.
Belize’s team is coached by Ismar Amaya Torres.
Despite the results, the players showed grit and determination against seasoned opponents. The Belize Tennis Federation acknowledged the tough day but praised the athletes’ fighting spirit, noting: “Tall order to overcome the challenge these guys pose, but we all fought valiantly.”
