Central American Games: Karla Gillett, Selvani Leiva win bronze in 10-Ball Billiards as Belize reach 15 medals

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Selvani Leiva and Karla Gillett have earned Belize another bronze medal at the XII Central American Games in Guatemala—this time in the Women’s 10-Ball Team billiards competition at the Villa Deportiva Sacatepéquez in Antigua Guatemala, marking their second team podium finish of the tournament.

The duo had already secured bronze in the Women’s 8-Ball Team event, and Leiva also medaled individually in 8-Ball. This latest result brings Leiva’s total to three medals and Gillett’s to two.

Meanwhile, Belize’s medal count climbed to 15 after Trent Hardwick secured a bronze medal in Sailing (ILCA 7), adding a new discipline to the country’s list of achievements.
