Cell phones, $3K cash taken in Belize City store armed robbery by masked duo

By Horace Palacio: Belize City police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at a business located on New Road. The robbery was reported on Monday, April 29, at approximately 8:50 p.m, shortly after the store’s closing.

Two masked suspects, described as dark-complexioned males with slim builds, entered the store. One suspect was armed with a silver handgun. The suspects held the store’s owners at gunpoint, forcing one to the ground, and stole approximately $3,000 in cash and two cell phones.

The robbers fled the scene. Police have investigated the area and identified surveillance cameras in the vicinity that may hold potential leads. No arrests have been made, and an ongoing investigation is underway.
