By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Recently, Cayo West Area Representative Jorge Espat met with Officer Commanding Benque Viejo Police, Jesus Palma, to discuss key initiatives aimed at enhancing the well-being and security of the community.

During their meeting, they reaffirmed their shared commitment to ensuring that Benque Viejo del Carmen, as a proud border town, remains one of the safest in Belize.

The discussions also covered strategies to maintain peace, foster stronger collaboration, and address the community’s concerns with greater effectiveness.

“Our continued safety is a testament to the strong partnership between local leadership and law enforcement,” Espat stated.
