By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The second leg of the Cayo Football Association 2023-24 First Division Opening Season Championship Quarterfinals gets underway Friday, January 5, and finishes on Sunday, January 7, at the Norman Broaster Stadium in San Ignacio.
The second and definitive leg of the quarterfinals will feature two games on Friday and two on Sunday.
The first quarterfinal match pits Santa Elena Royals against Flames at 7:00 pm on Friday. Flames lead 3-2 after winning the first leg.
In the second match at 9:00 pm, Western Raiders take on Bullet Tree. The teams are even-steven after a 3-3 first game.
On Sunday, 7-Miles will seek to close off against Regulataz at 4:00 pm. 7-Miles won the first match 4-3.
The last quarterfinal match features Cristo Rey against Alliance at 6:00 pm. Cristo Rey have a comfortable 3-0 lead from the first leg.
The admission fee is $5.00.
