By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): A 21 year old labourer of San Jose Village has been charged with possession of controlled drugs following a foot patrol on Sunday night.
Police say officers were on foot patrol in the village around 11pm when an officer’s attention was drawn to a man coming out of a known drug base house.
The officer noted the street was clear with nothing obstructing his view.
The man was intercepted and told a search would be conducted for illegal drugs. During the search, officers found two black transparent bags with gold skull markings in his back left pocket, containing a white powdery substance suspected to be cocaine.
He was shown the finding, informed of the reason for his detention, cautioned and placed under arrest.
At the Orange Walk Police Station the substance was weighed in his presence at 0.62 grams, then sealed in a labelled envelope which he signed.
Ronel Zamir Patt was charged with possession of controlled drugs. He was cautioned and chose to remain silent.
