By Aaron Humes: The Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA) has reported increased cases of Dengue, Zika, and Chikungunya in the region, posing a significant public health threat.

These mosquito-borne diseases have impacted the region’s tourism industry and overall quality of life. CARPHA in a statement urges member states to enhance surveillance, prevention, and control measures to reduce disease transmission.

Community involvement is crucial in combating mosquito-borne diseases, and preventative measures such as eliminating breeding sites and using protective clothing and repellents are essential. CARPHA supports member states in their vector control efforts and strengthens prevention and control measures.
