The Belize Carnival Association announced the delay on Friday, emphasizing safety concerns as heavy rainfall continues to affect various regions of the country.
The Carnival Launch is traditionally one of the major prelude events leading to the September Celebrations. It is known for its colorful costumes, lively music, and the official presentation of this year’s participating groups.
A new date for the Carnival launch will be announced once weather conditions improve and plans can be solidified; the Belize Carnival Association encourages everyone to stay tuned for updates and continue to prepare for the upcoming celebrations, which will be the 50th anniversary of the event being held in Belize.
