By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): An investigation is underway following a burglary reported at a residence in Carmelita Village, Orange Walk District.

A 20-year-old resident reported that she left her two-bedroom cement bungalow properly secured but returned early Tuesday morning to find signs of forced entry. The front door was open, windows and interior doors were ajar, and the lights inside the house were on.

At the rear of the house, a window screen had been torn and two wooden louvers were removed. Several electronic items were reported stolen from different rooms within the home.

Among the missing items were a Lenovo laptop, a smart projector, two Bluetooth speakers, and a power bank, with a combined value of $1,380 Belize dollars.

The complainant stated that she did not authorize anyone to enter her home. She further reported that she suspects two individuals following a dispute the previous week during which threats were allegedly made.

The scene was documented and photographed, and the investigation into the burglary continues.
