By Zoila Palma: The CARICOM Development Fund (CDF) and the Caribbean Community Climate Change Centre (CCCCC), in collaboration with the Ministry of Economic Development, have signed a Memorandum of Agreement to support the Credit Risk Abatement Facility (CRAF) project in Belize.
The initiative aims to strengthen small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) by enhancing their capacity to engage in renewable energy and climate change efforts.
The CRAF project’s goal is to reduce Belize’s reliance on fossil fuels, mitigate greenhouse gas emissions, and improve the country’s climate resilience.
Through this partnership, the project seeks to provide SMEs with the necessary support to transition to more sustainable energy practices.
