By Zoila Palma: Early today, U.S. President Donald Trump announced the capture of Venezuela’s Nicolas Maduro and his wife during a “large-scale” strike in Venezuela.
The Caribbean Community (CARICOM) issued a statement saying that the Conference of Heads of Government of CARICOM met very early today following reports of military action in Venezuela.
“CARICOM is actively monitoring the situation which is of grave concern to the Region with possible implications for neighbouring countries. CARICOM will continue to update the people of the Region as more information is received,”
a statement said.
