Caesar Ridge FC to Napoles in National Amateur Interdistrict Championship Round of 16 on Thursday in Belize City

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Caesar Ridge FC will play Game 1 of the National Amateur Interdistrict Championship (NAIC) Round of 16 against Napoles on Thursday.

The match is slated for 6:00 pm at the Marion Jones Sporting Complex in Belize City.

The match was to have been played two Sundays ago, but was called off due to rain. Caesar Ridge had planned to play it last Saturday but it rained again in Belize City and the game was called off again.

Entrance costs $7.00 for adults and $5.00 for children.

This match is the only Game One which hasn’t been played yet after Legends of PG defeated Belize City’s Tut Bay 3-2 on Sunday at the Marion Jones Sporting Complex.

The Round of 16 return legs should be played this coming weekend except for the Mi Gente and Garage FC series which has already been completed.

Last Saturday, MidSouth’s Garage FC defeated Orange Walk’s Mi Gente of Guinea Grass 3-2 at the Michael Ashcroft Stadium in Independence. Despite the loss, the Orange Walk side advanced to the Quarterfinals on an aggregate score of 6-5 by virtue of having won Game One 4-2 the previous week in Orange Walk.
