By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: On November 28, 2023, cabinet met during its regular session and approved several proposed additional amendments to the Money Laundering and Terrorism Prevention Act and other relevant legislation.
These proposed amendments will allow Belize to meet technical compliance with the Financial Action Task Force (FAFT) recommendations in the execution of the 4th Round Mutual Evaluation by the Caribbean FAFT.
