Henry Moreira, Dwayne Wade dominate 40+, 50+ divisions

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Veteran cyclist Byron Pope of the A. Mahler Digi Alliance team claimed top honors in the Male Masters category of the Miguel Brothers Cycling Race, earning $500 and a trophy donated by Nigel Miguel in memory of Edward Miguel. Pope’s performance capped off a strong showing by the Alliance squad, which also saw Henry ‘Henno’ Moreira take second in the overall Masters and first in the 40+ division.
Moriera’s $400 prize was sponsored by S. Duffus and R. Wagner in honour of Irma and Uriah Wagner. His double podium finish solidified his reputation as one of Belize’s most consistent age-group competitors.
Third place in the Masters category went to Jairo Campos of the Wateva Boyz, who received $300 courtesy of Alda Cabral and D. Lewis in memory of Bernice Miguel. Dwayne Wade (BZ Boyz) and Kenroy “Smokes” Gladden rounded out the top five, with Wade also clinching the Male Masters 50+ title and Gladden placing second in the 40+ division.
