By Aaron Humes: A Belize Water Services Limited (BWS) team successfully completed repairs on a broken 24-inch water main earlier today. The break had caused unplanned disruptions in water service for all of Belize City since about nine this morning.
“We are incredibly grateful for the hard work and commitment displayed by our BWS team,” a company statement said. “Their expertise and dedication ensured that the repairs were completed efficiently.”
As a result of the successful repair, water services were to be fully restored by 6:00 PM today. Officials explained that while the repair is complete, it will take some time for water to reach all areas affected by the break.
Residents are urged to remain patient during this transition period, as the water supply gradually normalizes. “We appreciate the understanding of our community as our team works tirelessly to get everything back to normal,” the spokesperson added.
