By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): A 48-year-old businesswoman was arrested on Saturday, March 14, 2026, after police discovered suspected cocaine during a search at her residence in Carmelita Village, Orange Walk District.
Reports indicate that around 8:15 p.m., police executed a search warrant at the home of Nigera Muthra Rhaburn. Upon arrival, officers observed Rhaburn behaving suspiciously as she placed her hand into her shorts and sat on a sofa inside the shop area of the residence.
A search of her person led to the discovery of a small transparent ziplock bag containing several smaller plastic packets with a white powdery substance suspected to be cocaine. A further search of the kitchen area resulted in the discovery of an additional small plastic bag containing a similar substance.
Rhaburn and her husband, Eustace Rhaburn, 41, were informed of the offences, cautioned, and escorted to the Orange Walk Police Station.
