By Aaron Humes: Police are investigating a robbery incident in western Belize.
On Tuesday, August 12, about 4:38 p.m., police responded to a report at the Puma Gas Station in Black Man Eddy Village, Cayo District.
A businessman and others reported that while at the Puma Gas Station purchasing fuel, two men approached them on a motorcycle. One of the men produced a firearm and demanded money.
The businessman attempted to escape; however, the culprit chased after him and fired shots into the ground, causing the ground to break and a stone to ricochet, striking him on his right foot and abdomen. Wall then handed over $8,000 in cash to the armed man.
