By Aaron Humes: The Quan family and management of Simon Quan and Company Limited is mourning the sudden loss of Antonio Quan, co-owner of Simon Quan, who collapsed and passed away this morning while exercising.
Antonio was the second son of the company’s founder and namesake Simon Quan, who died at 79 in 2009; he and his sister Lupita, better known as a highly successful volleyball coach, and brother Peter took over the running of the store after Simon’s passing.
A statement on social media from the company says: “His unexpected departure has created an immense void in our lives, as he embodied many cherished roles; a devoted husband, a loving father, a beloved son, a supportive brother, a doting uncle, and a true friend to many. Antonio was a remarkable soul whose presence illuminated our lives. His ability to spread joy, laughter, and kindness touched the hearts of everyone fortunate enough to know him. He had an extraordinary gift for making people feel valued and loved, leaving an indelible impact on our lives that will resonate forever.”
The family requests prayers and support for Antonio’s wife Shelly, daughter Victoria, and the entire Quan Family during this difficult time. The community is uniting to honor his memory and cherish the love he shared with all. The company statement concludes, “We are united in our grief as we navigate this tragic loss and seek solace in the memories we hold dear. Your thoughts and support mean the world to us as we honor Antonio’s legacy and cherish the love he bestowed upon us all. Thank you for standing by us during this painful chapter in our lives.”
Funeral arrangements are expected to be announced later.
