By Aaron Humes: A burglary occurred at St John’s Anglican Primary School, located on Euphrates Avenue in Belize City, on Wednesday, July 2.
Responding police met with the school’s Vice Principal Cherriemae Jones, who escorted them to the Standard Six building, a yellow wooden structure. The investigation revealed that the building was locked and secured on Tuesday around 2:00 p.m. However, when checks were made the next day at 4:00 p.m., Jones observed damage to the metal louvers and discovered that the rooms had been ransacked.
The thieves stole an assortment of stationery, value unknown, and a single laminating machine worth $150.
Police are investigating.
