Founded in 1985, BTIA has been instrumental in shaping the nation’s tourism landscape through advocacy, promotion, and a strong commitment to sustainable development.
With nearly 300 members across the country, BTIA has spearheaded several landmark initiatives, including the launch of BETEX (Belize Tourism Expo) and the publication of Destination Belize, Belize’s flagship tourism magazine. The association has also coordinated festivals that showcase Belize’s rich cultural heritage and natural attractions, further enhancing the country’s reputation as a world-class destination.
BTIA President Efren Perez praised the organization’s resilience and passion, stating, “Our achievements have been rooted in our mission to uplift our industry and showcase the very best of Belize.” Executive Director Linette Canto echoed the sentiment, emphasizing the importance of partnerships and innovation as the organization looks to the future.
In celebration of this major milestone, BTIA is offering a 20% discount on membership fees for new and renewing members from April 26th to May 31st, 2025.
