By Breaking Belize News Staff: The twin towns of San Ignacio and Santa Elena are set to come alive on November 1st and 2nd, 2025 with the staging of the El Cayo Festival, organized by the Cayo Chapter of the Belize Tourism Industry Association (BTIA).

The two-day event will take place along the Macal River and promises a vibrant celebration of Belizean culture, heritage, food, music, and sports. Attendees can look forward to cultural competitions, traditional dances, live performances, and artisanal displays, as well as some of the best DJs in Belize to keep the energy high.

Food vendors will offer Belizean favorites representing the country’s diverse cultures, while athletes will compete in marathons, triathlons, cycling, and swimming. Organizers say this year’s event is expected to be one of the largest cultural gatherings in the country.

Booth spaces for businesses are available, and interested vendors can contact organizers at 672-7437 via WhatsApp before all spaces are sold out.
