By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): The Belize Tourism Board (BTB) says visitor arrivals for 2025 are maintaining momentum, showing that the industry continues to perform strongly despite global instability. In a press briefing on Wednesday, BTB Director Evan Tillett reassured the public and stakeholders that Belize remains a competitive and attractive destination as the high season begins.

According to Tillett, between January and October 2025, Belize registered 448,188 overnight guests. This figure places the country 0.4% above the same period in 2024, an impressive outcome given the unpredictability of the U.S. market, which supplies the majority of Belize’s tourists.

Tillett explained that 2019 previously served as Belize’s benchmark year with 503,000 visitors, but 2024 surpassed that with a total of 547,000 overnight arrivals. Keeping pace with such numbers, he said, reflects the success of ongoing marketing strategies and sustained traveler confidence.

Despite geopolitical challenges worldwide, Belize’s tourism numbers are showing stability heading into the winter months, a positive indicator for hotels, tour operators, and businesses that depend on peak-season traffic.
