By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): Two northern communities are set to benefit from new grant funded projects under the Basic Needs Trust Fund Eleventh (BNTF 11) Grant Programme.
On Thursday, October 29, the Belize Social Investment Fund (BSIF) signed two consultancy contracts with Young’s Engineering Consultancy Ltd. at its office in Belmopan.
The first contract covers design and construction supervision for improvements at Kiddie Kinder Government Preschool in Corozal, aimed at strengthening educational infrastructure.
The second covers design and construction supervision for a rural water system in Fireburn Village, Orange Walk, along with the rollout of improved sanitation and hygiene practices.
BSIF said the consultancy services are an important step toward successfully implementing both projects and improving access to quality education, safe water and better sanitation for the beneficiary communities.
BNTF 11 is carried out by BSIF in partnership with the Government of Belize and the Caribbean Development Bank.
